Srinagar: Kashmir Tourism Director Dr GN Itoo today held an interactive session with representatives of the West Bengal travel industry through an online meeting.
The meeting brought together leading West Bengal travel operators including Manav Soni, President of the Association of Travel Agents of Eastern India (TAAI) ER, Madan Agarwal, President of the Association of Travel Suppliers of Bengal Tourist Services (ATSPB), Nilanjan Basu, Secretary of the Association of Travel Agents. from Bengal (TAAB), Anil Punjabi, President of the Indian Federation of Travel Agents (TAFI), from West Bengal, Manas Mahapatra, President of the Tourism Welfare Association (TWA) and other representatives of the travel industry have attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Director of Tourism briefed the representatives of the travel industry on the SOPs and the measures taken by the Ministry for a comfortable and safe stay of tourists at J&K.
Welcoming tourists, he informed that already more than 95% of tourism actors here have been vaccinated against Covid-19 and capacity building programs have been organized in various tourist destinations for actors such as hoteliers, ponywallas, tourist guides, etc. 19 pandemic.
On this occasion, Dr Itoo responded to various questions posed by stakeholders in West Bengal regarding the prospects of an autumn season and the arrival of tourists during the pooja holidays.
