Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – Public safety officials have been busy responding to numerous traffic accidents and incidents in southeast Minnesota.
The mix of rain, freezing drizzle and light snow that fell across the region Wednesday evening and Thursday created slippery driving conditions in some areas and motorists are urged to exercise caution.

Conditions are expected to improve as temperatures rise above freezing.
The Minnesota State Patrol said its soldiers responded to nearly 160 accidents on Wednesday. He also reports that one of his teams was taken at fullback at Detroit Lakes, but no injuries were reported.
The most serious crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday on a slippery road near Hector, in south-central Minnesota.
State Patrol said a semi-truck collided with an oncoming car, seriously injuring its driver. The accident report says Jose Garza, 35, of Olivia, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
