Stay, Dine and See Macao tours with over 27,000 participants


Since the Stay, Dine and See Macau local tour program launched in mid-April, a total of 30,287 people have registered and 27,031 people have participated in its tours.

Some 21,775 hotel packages have been sold with a total number of 55,099 guests, according to the Macau Government Tourism Board (MGTO).

The Stay, Dine and See Macau program aims to boost domestic spending in communities and accelerate the recovery of tourism and related industries, providing residents with short visits to Macau.

Around 167 travel agencies, 451 tourist guides, 534 tour bus drivers, 65 hotels and guesthouses are currently participating in the project.

The tourism board aims to protect workers related to tourism, such as tour guides and drivers, and to create employment opportunities.

Due to new cases of Covid-19 in the previous two months, the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project was suspended from September 25 to October 22.

Local tours operation resumed from October 23 with 12 routes that residents can choose from as the pandemic situation evolves towards stability.

In December, the tourism office plans to add a nighttime sightseeing experience for residents, including major upcoming events such as the Macau Festival of Lights and the Light up Macao Drone Gala, to enrich the diversity of experiences offered. through local tours.

From April to December, each resident of Macau is entitled to a special one-time accommodation subsidy offer of 200 MOP and one-time subsidy for visiting expenses of 280 MOP provided by the project.
