Super Bowl 2022 ads: Watch the best and worst ads [Video]

You don’t have to know the difference between a touchdown and a turnover to find Super Bowl fun. For many viewers (and we suspect many TVLine readers), it’s all about commercials.

Advertisers shell out big bucks every year to wave their wares in front of over 100 million lookie-loos…even though most of the ads run online, before the Big Game. So who drafted famous faces for shill? Who played it for laughs? And who went for the aqueducts?

Below you will find the stars of Community (Joel McHale and Ken Jeong), Calm your enthusiasm (larry david), Euphoria (Zendaya), the next Obi Wan (Ewan McGregor), Pam and Tommy (Seth Rogen), Saturday Night Live (pete davidson and Colin Jost), Schitt’s Creek (Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara), Scrubs (Zach Braff and Donald Faison), The Sopranos (Jamie Lynn Sigler and Robert Iller), Succession (Nicholas Brown), Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham) and The White Lotus (Jennifer Coolidge).

Among the cinephiles, you have jim carrey resurrect cable guyand Mike Myers and Rob Lowe resuming their claims Austin Powers characters. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is also well represented, with more than half a dozen stars, including David Bautista (guardians of the galaxy), Idris Elbe (Thor), Danai Gurira (Black Panther), Salma Hayek (Eternals), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) and Paul Rudd (The ant Man) – enlisted as pitchmen.

Also present are Grammy Award winners Andre “3000” Benjamin, Kenny G., Lizzo and Dolly Parton — the latter teaming up with his goddaughter Miley Cyrus.

(TVLine is also rounding up all the big movie trailers during the Big Game – including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Jurassic World: Dominion — which you can see here.)
